Guests can walk straight out of their cottage onto public footpaths taking you down the valley or to the higher peaks – Carningli (Mountain of the Angels) and Cerrig Llachron, which are all within easy reach. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is close by with a fantastic bus service enabling short or long walks to suit your distance preference - perhaps to see the seal pups in late August and September. Across the Preseli Hills two famous walking routes – The Golden Road covering the route over the peaks, and The Preseli Circle around the range are equally well served by the Green Dragon bus service.

Surfing is a local passion – Newgale, Whitesands, Freshwater West, Poppit Sands to name a few of the wonderful beaches.

St. Davids Cathedral is a must visit – one of the most spectacular and historic cathedral settings in the UK , Penlan Uchaf gardens, Pentre Ifan burial site are all popular venues – the Gwaun Valley even has its own microbrewery within a few miles of the cottages – visitors welcome.

Both Fishguard and Newport are a short drive away – Lower Fishguard is a wonderful example of an old Pembrokeshire fishing port. Newport is full of life with numerous restaurants – Llys Meddig, Cnapan, The Golden Lion - pubs and its own links golf course adjoining the long sandy beach.

There are a number of fishing venues in the area that offer coarse, and game fishing. Shore fishing is a favourite past time in Pembrokeshire – mackerel, sea bass are favourites. There are companies which offer charter boats and sea fishing trips.

Golfers will have their fill with a large number of golf courses in the area. The newly developed Newport Links course is the closest.

The Preseli Hills and Pembrokeshire are great for cycling both road and mountain biking. Cyclists welcome! There are a number of National Cycle Routes in the area and there are plenty of Bridleways and mountains. We have also have a barn to store and clean your bikes.

For the more adventurous there are a number of companies who offer Coasteering (we recommend Celtic Quest Coasteering), kayaking, boat trips out to Ramsey island to see seal pups (August and September) and other wonderful sea life, diving and surf lessons.
